MESSAGE FROM PRO-VICE CHANCELLOR

 

The UITS has now earned its fame as the first IT based private university of Bangladesh. Thousands of students are now getting their higher education here in different subjects to cater the needs of the nation at large. Hundreds of thousands of guardians now know well about our academic performances. Our essentially moral atmosphere helps our past students to be blessed with peace, happiness, and prosperity in their professional career. You will be happy to know that the UITS is engaged in the process of fostering an environment that attracts, sustains, and retains creative, imaginative and globally resourceful individuals. We are aware of the role of higher education as universities are the primary suppliers of human resources. In the context of globalizations, generations of new ideas, technologies, methods, products and services are of crucial importance to sustain competitive advantage.

To meet the growing challenges, the UITS is seeking ways to further connect their faculty, students, and outside communities in a strategic infrastructure where ideas flow, new initiatives blossom, flexibility abounds and global reputation expands. Creation of knowledge, its storage and dissemination in the international context are seen as the primary task of the 21st century universities.

We hope the new intakes of our university will avail themselves of the facilities and opportunities created so far by our authority (PHP), faculties and officials since 2003 to fit and fix themselves in the global market of developed human resources. Especially the new venue of the UITS on its own land at Baridhara will become more attractive and move comfortable for the students. May Almighty Allah bless you all.

MESSAGE FROM VICE CHANCELLOR

The long standing tradition of our noble soil is to search and harness knowledge, and apply it for the well-being of society as a whole. The invaluable contributions of Srignyan Atish Dipankar, Poet Rabindranath Tagore and Scientists Acharya Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose and Satyendra Nath Bose are the greatest instances in the country and all over the world. Indeed, towards that end, the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh, was founded in 2003. The main goals of the UITS are to provide high quality higher education, to develop human resources and to find better jobs for its graduates. To realize its goals, the university has been providing handsome salaries and honoraria for highly qualified faculty members with Ph.D. and relevant foreign degrees so that teaching, learning, and research become a matter of pleasure. For doing of innovative research and outstanding studies by its faculties and students, we have established UITS Research Center and UITS Journal. We have exchanged programs with foreign universities like Winona State University, Minnesota and the University of Texas at Dallas, USA; TAFE South Western Sydney Institute, Australia; AIT & SIAM University, Bangkok, Thailand, JNU, Delhi & IIT Allahabad, India and Ataturk University of Turkey.

In view of the present-day global perspective, the UITS is moving forward with new knowledge, appropriate technologies and noble ideas combined with old gold ones of national and international importance.

I am overwhelmed by our mother concern PHP, a leading industrial group of Bangladesh, which is always prepared to extend all support to build up the UITS into a world-class university.

CHAIRMAN MESSAGE

The Exalted Name Allah’s is the glory revealed in everything. Beneficence and mercy are the reflection of Allah’s name and remain alive in human in the every state of action. Beauty is the attributes of the Lord, and this manifestation in His Slaves with unlimited strength and capabilities. Basically Allah gives some part of knowledge, power, and mercy to Human from His own self. But human beings, as further He guides, providing us with the special abilities and facilities so that we can enhance our lives upon the earth. He is the most generous Lord who taught through the way of pen. The existential qualities solely belong to Allah and not to anyone else. We as human beings have the ability to take on those existential qualities that are given to us.

The purpose of UITS is to explicate us manners, character and good behavior along with education to carry the message of independence worth to humanity. Our dear students, honorable teachers and hardworking management jointly works together to explore the importance of focusing our faculties and building concentration with education in order to have a fruitful relationship with nation. Religion furnishes the conceptual framework in which science can flourish, as science is not something that is caused by humankind. An invented cultural institution requires a unique soil to flourish, and that is why I would like to reiterate that “Divine blessings mixed with hard work, backed by good intentions, makes miracles.”

The growth and development of life as a whole enhance by focusing and interacting with others in care of sprit and spiritual practices. We, as UITS Family, are trying to improve our life by focusing on other aspects of life as well.

May God bless all of us with His divine Peace, Happiness and Prosperity (PHP).

We are very happy to announce call for papers, for our biannual research journal ‘UITS Journal’, Vol.-2, Issue-1.  We are expecting high quality theoretical and/or empirical research papers, articles, case studies, book reviews, proposals, analyses, surveys, concept papers, editorials as well as pedagogical and curriculum issues from the academicians, scholars, & researchers of all fields.

University of Information Technology & Sciences (UITS) is committed to publish (print) high-quality original works from academicians, scientists, engineers, business specialists, sociologists and other social scientists. We welcome faculty members of the public and private universities here and abroad to advance the understanding of the contemporary world, society and technological development and contribute to the general knowledge in the discipline of science, history, culture and business by providing us invaluable articles and writings.
